1. Introduction

StrokesIQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application StrokesIQ (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please stop using the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the information you authorise those services to share.
  • Golf data. Shot-by-shot data you enter for each round, including course name, tee selection, hole scores, shot categories, distances, and lies. This data is stored in your personal account.
  • Usage data. Anonymous analytics collected by Firebase, including app crashes and performance metrics. This data does not include personally identifiable information.
  • Purchase information. Subscription status and purchase history, processed and stored by Apple through the App Store and RevenueCat. We do not have access to your full payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
  • Calculate and display Strokes Gained statistics and performance insights.
  • Authenticate your identity and keep your account secure.
  • Process and verify your subscription status.
  • Monitor and improve App performance and fix bugs.
  • Respond to your questions and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data and golf records are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted in the United States. Firebase is certified under ISO 27001 and SOC 1/2/3 standards. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion. Request that we delete your personal data.
  • Portability. Request that we provide your data in a portable format (available via the CSV export feature in the App).
  • Objection. Object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
